"Some folks need to come up with some different comments, SSDD."

Based on the above comment from another thread I thought I would start a thread about "NOTHING". So if you have nothing on your mind, please feel to post it here.

  • There is a new medical device being tested that allows a woman to give birth with no pain. She feels nothing but the device transfers the pain to the father. A couple agreed to try it and wired up the husband. The technician set it in 10% but he felt nothing. 20% and still nothing. The technician kept turning it up all the way to 100% and still nothing but the birth went on as normal. Two days later the couple went home and found the postman dead on the porch.

  • When I saw this thread my first thought was it would be about Rep Occasional Cortez and the nothing between her ears.

Can't figure out a garbage disposal. Thinks drinking from the potable fountain behind a stainless toilet is actually lapping water out of the commode. Crying at a chain link fence to nothing but a parking lot on the other side. Did she worry that gas guzzling SUV had been stolen and no ride back to the private jet? Then again perhaps the nothing is the group of voters that put that turtle on the fence post.

  • Some claim women are not equal or get the same opportunities as men , but when Man landed on the Moon 50 years ago (both were men , ya know ) women designed and made their space suits and the person who wrote the computer codes was a woman . Both of my sisters were very successful in corporate either because of the way they were treated and taught growing up or self determination and confidence plus they grew up on a poor rock farm out in the middle of Madison , Co. Missouri . I have a real problem with their complaints .

Men , at the same time , women want to be noticed and want attention just like anyone else , but , keep your hands to your self unless they say otherwise . It's just common curticey and respect to a Lady . (if she treats herslf like a Lady). At the same time , they want equal opportunity as men . We are not going to win this fight either way , so , we are not really equal to women . After all , they have all the pootang plus half the money .

Whoever said life was fair lied their arse off . A whole lot of disappointment can happen in just one week . People can have anything they want , but not everything they want ....a fact of life .

btw , how the Turtle get on top of a fence post is not the important question , what is would be how they will get back down . Again , self determination and confidence .

Last night a huge part of New York city had a power outage . The largest threat to the USA is cyber attack , way before immigrants or anything else .

-- Posted by Jeffrey Bollinger on Tue, Jul 16, 2019, at 5:16 PM
  • I read President Trump's Twitter comments and did not see race mentioned. Maybe Mr. Bollinger can point out the racism.

    Old John,

This thread is about nothing and Mr Bollinger is trying to make something out of nothing.

  • I contend without something existing first there would be no concept of nothing. Now what part of the President's tweet you referred to mentioned race?

    -- Posted by R. W. Bess on Tue, Jul 16, 2019, at 9:34 PM
  • Mr. Bess,If you cannot see the racism in that tweet I totally feel sorry for you. Telling someone to pack up and go back to where they came from is a total racist statement. But, He does these things daily and his base cheers him on. 3 of the 4 were born in this country and the other a naturalized citizen. It’s Sad but it actually shows how smart he isn’t.

-- Posted by Jeffrey Bollinger on Tue, Jul 16, 2019, at 9:54 PM
  • Mr. Bollinger, What I see is a man that says what is on his mind without running it past a parliamentarian or speech writer to see if it is politically correct. If you can't see and appreciate that I suspect we should go back to the subject of the thread, the subject of which your opinions are well received.

  • Some ya-hoo up in Michigan tried to hack my credit card for $1,000 bucks . My bank put a hold on my debit card so it wouldn't work , I called the bank and they told me I had to get a whole new card . This website blocked my user name and password as invalid and wouldn't let me log-in for the past couple of week . Now I have to give them the info on my new card before they'll give me access again , I've had to work around that to get on-line again without user name and password , there's a solution to every problem , so beware if you use First State Community Bank , they are getting hacked a lot lately .

  • Not sure if it was Russian or some really , really , smart teenagers who have the hacking game down to a 't' . Hell , it could be grandma Bell far as that goes . I'm just glad the bank put a hold on that $1,000 hack , I never would have known until the nasty bill collector's letters started to come in .

I thought I got banned , again , for the umptheen time when it said illegal user name and/or password . I scratched my head trying to think what it could have been for , I've been a good boy with my comments now .

  • Nothing good is what you get in a society like today where fathers are not important. The far left progressives continue convincing us two gals or two guys make a normal family. That is their remedy for years of incentives for real fathers to live apart to create a whole class of single mothers deserving more government handouts.

Someone has to pay for all the free things the Democrats are promising. Their plans to forgive trillions of dollars of student debt as well as Medicare for all that will add trillions to the debt and will increase everyone's taxes to the max....Socialism.

Rick: More Americans are working and paying taxes now then ever before so that the Democrats can give free health care and welfare for the Illegals and our own freeloaders. Obama during his 8 years increased the debt by $10 trillion almost half of the total so give Trump a little slack....he's still got 5 years to turn the country around.

For "Wheels", "Old John", "Rick", &---others: OK, I chickened-out, and went with my nickname, so that people wouldn't confuse me with my younger, more-handsomer-brother!

So, now everyone will "kno-me" for sure, since Bruno is all I've ever been called, for literally the past half-century now. It was all thanks to a very-close friend, long-deceased now, and his gross-mispronunciation of my last name, whilst about three-sheets in the wind inebriated---and it stuck like gorilla-glue!

It stuck so tight as a first-name, that it was literally-used by my last employer on their roster. (Which was A-OK with me, but Social Security didn't find it all that amusing, 'cause my SSN didn't match with the "Bruno"-moniker!)

I had been getting paid, yeah---by direct-deposit, so's I never did actually SEE a paper check---only the stub. But it was declared an honest mistake, and it only took Human Resources about 15-minutes, and two phone calls to make the change back to "legal-tender" status.

So, like the late, great Paul Harvey would end by saying: "And now, you know the Rest-Of-The-Story!"

And, it really-does amount to absolutely, positively, not-one-thing, in-deed: But at least it's not in the obits, yet...!☺

Man! Feels-good to be a "Bruno"-again! (Although obviously there must be a few-past acquaint's who haven't signed-in, hence the current lack of "Don't Respect's".)☺ Still-kinda "iffy"-though, on how well the button-thang will go over?

Even my wife doesn't call me Richard. Within the span of 32-years, I've went from "Bruno-honey", to just plain-"honey", to "dear"---and am now pretty-much ingrained as simply, "HEY! HONEY!!! OVER-HERE!"☺

And I'm admittedly quite-hard of hearing. But to the disdain of many in the past---in particular doctors and/or nurses!---I'm quite-adept at lip-reading, when they don't want me privy to their-comments!

Well, gettin' long on a lot of Absolutely, Positively, NOTHING, of worth, or worth-reading, being injected into this repro-battalion-thread of horse-hash!

In all honesty, though, I like to think I'm quite-proficient with the basics of the English-Lit I learned from high-school, esp. with no formal college education. (Even though I shamefully couldn't add 2-plus-2 equaling 5---I mean, 4!---until I finally landed a job I actually enjoyed, and accurate-figuring was a MUST!) A set of Mitutoyo®-brand dial-calipers, and a man who was willing to chance on me---and the rest of the effort learning the trade was all-downhill from there! One-can preach it all day, but until you give a truly-interested person the literal "hands-on" experience? He or she ain't gonna learn-squat! Of course I made mistakes, that's part of learning. Just remember how NOT-to make them a habit, is all.

Way-more than that to come, maybe? But for now, I gotta quit, because my hands are gettin' cramped and numb, an' I'm fightin' to stop "fat-fingerin"-the keypad: A sure-sign of a true-"Reprobate", in-deed....☺!

Kinda like yourself, the subject just broad-sided me yesterday already, and for NO-apparent reason. (Well, other than the fact they/it/other amount to not-one solitary-thing or fact, except for absolutely-NOTHING of anything remotely useful.) Was startin' to wear on my-mind---once again, in keeping with the subject of this thread---for absolutely no good-reason!

Which is exactly-why I had to know, because now? I've fulfilled my-daily requirement of totally-useless facts and/or factoids. I now feel so, so---freed, of the heavy-yoke carried by a majority of the average sheeple-flock of ignoramuses.

(I almost went with ignorami, as plural. But, the Wiktionary said it foodin'-wit in a scentins like thet...!)☺
