Don't know, but it sounds par for the course when it comes to American Foreign Policy. Politics first, what's right second.

  • This is the ONLY mention of our government in that article:

    "A letter from Ivan Lewis...makes clear that the London did not consider that promises made to the American authorities before his trial that Megrahi would serve his sentence in Scotland ruled out a prisoner transfer.

    Further letters sent to Scottish executive by the Foreign Office in July and August showed it believed a joint British-American commitment to the United Nations in 1998 over the imprisonment did not "present an international law bar" to the transfer of Megrahi."

    Sounds to me like we wanted him locked up and the Brits broke their promise.

    Would you like to retract your post now, or just apologize for making up lies?
