  • Another sign that all that money that has been printed up in the past year is about to be dumped.

    How do you spell relief?

  • James,

It's simple economics. The money supply cannot be increased while the demand for non-perishable goods drops without inflation.

Major corporations and the upper class have already received, and spent their share of the funny money. Small buisness and the upper middle class are always the second group to benefit from the increase in the monetary supply; albeit at a very diluted rate. See that the dollar isn't worth near what it was whenever GM and AIG were receiving their "bailouts".

By the time it hits us we will realize why the Austrian economists call inflation the "tax on the poor".

  • Some "bright" folks can not bring themselves to realize the country is bankrupt. The government is operating on borrowed money. Now its beginning to dawn on the lendors this nation is not creditworthy. We are using printing press money.

The present administration, as has been pointed out several times, has spent more in 9 months than the naton spent in the first 200 years.

There is no way to avoid the coming consequences of our profligacy. We can't afford the government programs guided more by political idealogy rather than economic sense. To think otherwise is to attempt living in a fool's paradise.

Voters will take out their vengence in mid-term elections next year by which time the present situaton will probably become worse.

Of course, members of the Hemlock Club will deny, deny, deny with every excuse their not too bright litte minds can think up.
