Mother Criticized Over Fight To Banish Acorns Form Schoolyard.

"Donna Giustizia told Vaughan, Ont., city council that the saplings dropping tree nuts onto school property pose a threat to young students with anaphylaxis-inducing allergies and are infringing on their right to a nut-free space."

I think the belief in a right to nut-free space in the great outdoors is kind of oxymoronic...

  • That bit of wisdom, if brought to this country, could eliminate half of the posters on speakout and the threads.

  • More from our neighbors up North:

Lock up your cat, save a bird!

    http://news.nationalpost.com/2012/11/15/nova-scotias-ecology-action-centre-wants...

Nova Scotia's Ecology Action Centre wants people to place their cats under house arrest to stop the killing of songbirds.

Methinks Cape Girardeau's starling population could do with a few more housecats thinning their numbers.

  • And more from the dead-bird department:

"Birds fall dead in Arkansas town for second year in a row"

(This one's actually from January, but I missed seeing it in the news...)

  • Lock up your cats.... might as well try locking up your women.

Cats and women do as they please.... men and dogs may as well get used to it.
