Speak Out: End the Stream of Unnecessary Chris Christie Coverage

Posted by commonsensematters on Sat, Jan 18, 2014, at 10:45 AM:

It is well past time to give up on the wall-to-wall coverage of "Bridgegate."

He is unlikely to ever receive a republican nomination for President. Not because of the lane closures, but because I don't think Americans will vote for a 300+ pound candidate.

As for the bridge scandal, since he tries to portray himself as a hardnosed, no nonsense "leader" who's totally in charge, you would have thought that he would have jumped in on day 1 of the closures and demanded they be stopped.

  • Common, Your people love to groom Rhinos in the press for republican consideration.

The republicans have been falling for it ever since McCain.

  • Common, is trying to deflect attention from his FUBAR on the Benghazi affair. He has repeated his spin so many times, even he is starting to believe it.

  • More Benghazi spin to come. Spaniard has thawed from the terrible freeze we're experiencing with "global warming". He's now decided to contribute 2 lines of text.

They're out of options. Spaniard, Common, Dexter, lefty, all-for-one, KCClown, etc. bought Obama's lies hook line sinker. They've got to get personal and continually lie to distract from the egg on their face.

    Regrets,

Common is a typical Leftist.... he would like to see a Republican running that cannot win. This go around will be same as last. Any Republican that starts to pull ahead in the primary, and they figure is a danger to their candidate will be character assassinated and ruined until they get to one they know cannot win. Then he is it.

  • Look how quick they torpedoed Herman Cain. He was also a fixer that had a history of turning things around but people like Common thinks Cain was stupid and the best candidate was a socialist.

What we have because of that is a guy that has had one private sector job in his life and that was at an an ice cream shop. Otherwise he has been in the same business as Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton most of his life.

I think one day one of the people that uses those lies on a candidate will meet someone that is not happy about it.

  • Cain torpedoed himself. These people know their background but yet climb out of the pits and have their past exposed. They can only blame themselves and not others. Sounds as if Christie has always thrown his weight around and picked friends for high paying positions. He came to south Florida to raise money from rich supporters and no contact with public, talk about hiding. Hillary has too much baggage and won't get the nomination, thankfully.

A Canadian and a Cuban is the best repubs can do. And no thanks to Biden, go home.

  • I have no feelings for or against Christie. I would be more able to accept his acting the part of a tough, no-nonsense leader, had he stopped the lane closures after the first report on the very first day.

Comments on his weight has nothing to do with a "...standard of looks..." but rather a harmful life-style and unhealthy habits, condition, and routines.

As opposed to a healthy life style of cocaine snorting and heavy cigarette smoking. Oh wait - that's Obama. He's soooooo good looking!

  • He didn't say anything about his cocaine use in this interview, during his younger days.
