Four-year-old Bono Taylor danced to the music of Whitey, Slick and Boogie during the Earth Day Festival at the Show Me Center. More than 2,000 people attended the festival, which featured speakers, musicians, poster and photography contest winners, and numerous booths and displays. There was no apparent damage done to the superstructure of the old Mississippi River traffic bridge at Cape Girardeau, when a semi-truck jackknifed on the icy bridge floor and tore out 80 to 100 feet of bridge railing.
