Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow ... in October

Snow-crew members lay white tarps across the terraced hillside of the Common Pleas Courthouse on Wednesday in Cape Girardeau. The crew will add "snow" made of paper with a slight moisture content on top of the tarps to set a scene from the feature film "Gone Girl."

The book is set in the summer. Why snow? Please recall for me so I don't have to read book again.

That's right the first time they hook up. I forgot they have to go back and forth with parts of the book. Wonder how much they show of some of those scenes. 😉

So much hard work for a movie. I have a much greater appreciation for movie stars, directors and all the people that make it all happen.

I find all of this so interesting. The overwhelming kindness extended to our community by this group from the film industry reassures the fact we are all people with a job to do. I hope we respect that.

Doubt they'll shoot the trees, probably from the ground passing along the sidewalk or shoot outside the Bar window. Very interesting!

tell the film crew and actors and extras to just stick around a couple of months. we may have the snow for free then!..;-)

If we were in Wisconsin or maybe in the New England states, filming crews could depend on natural snow. Here in Cape, sure wouldn't want to depend on snow.
